Playing Sane Coronavirus Support Service

I was pleased to be able to launch the Playing Sane Coronavirus Support Service on Monday 13th April 2020. It’s been increasingly evident that our sector is going to be hit particularly badly by c-virus, both the immediate effects as well as the long-term social and economic fallout. As an organisation focusing on mental health in the industry we were determined to find ways we could practically help our colleagues and carers.

The service is a temporary initiative to help the worst hit through the immediate problems. People requesting support are paired with a volunteer professional mental health practitioner who will offer up to 3 hours free support. We aim to continue running this service for the duration of the crisis.
